Koumanthio Zeinab Diallo (Dyenaba Kumantyo Dyallo) is a writer,
a theatrical producer, and an engineering specialist in agro-sociology.
She was born in Labé, Guinea. She earned her engineering
diploma from the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry in 1980.
She has been an education consultant for several international development
organizations in Guinea. She has produced many award-winning plays
dealing with the struggle to stop violence against women, including
Femmes d’Afrique, winner of the Zadi Zaourou Trophy (First
International Prize from the Association of West African Women).
She has written numerous collections of poetry in French and in
Peul, a French novel (Les épines de l’amour,
published by L’Harmattan in Paris, 1997), and folktales. She
is President of the International Commission of African Women Poets
and Writers, President of the Guinean Association for the Promotion
of Women (AGUIFEM), Director of the Futa Jallon Museum, and an active
member of several cultural associations in Guinea.

écrivaine, une metteur en scène, et une ingénieure
agro-sociologue. Elle est né à Labé, Guinée.
Elle a gagné son diplôme d’ingénieurie
de l’Université Gamal Abdel Nasser de Conakry en 1980.
Elle a été une consultante d’éducation
pour plusieurs organizations internationales de développement
en Guinée. Elle a mis en scène beaucoup de pièces
primées comportant de la lutte contre violences faites aux
femmes, y compris Femmes d’Afrique, trophée Zadi Zaourou
(Premier Prix International de l’Association des Femmes d’Afrique
de l’Ouest). Elle a écrit de nombreux recueils de poèmes
en français et en peul, un roman en français (Les
épines de l’amour, édité par Editions
L’Harmattan à Paris, 1997), et des contes. Elle est
la Présidente de la Commission Internationale des Femmes
Poètes et Ecrivains d’Afrique, la Présidente
de l’Association Guinéenne pour la promotion de la
femme (AGUIFEM), Directrice du Musée du Fouta Djallon, et
une active membre de plusieurs associations culturelles en Guinée.
